Why we use Indian Herbs (Ayurveda)

Ayurveda is translated from Sanskrit meaning the ‘Science of Life’ and it originated in India some 5000 years ago.

The goal of Ayurveda treatment is to cleanse your body of undigested food which can stay in your body and lead to illness. The cleansing process is called ‘Panchakarma’ – meaning five purifying procedures in Ayurveda, through various channels such as intestines, urinary tract, blood vessels, and sweat glands.

Panchakarma consists of; Emesis (vomiting), Enemas, Blood-letting, Nasal rinsing, and Laxative measures.

Alongside diet, herbal medicines are central to Ayurveda treatment.
